Your Stockist List Is a Marketing Channel

Why the Dropdown Is Costing You

If your product doesn't sit on a grocery shelf, chances are it's tucked into a dropdown menu on your website labeled "Find Us" or "Where to Buy," a long alphabetical list of cafes, bars, and restaurants a customer has to scroll through to find. It's functional. It's also a huge missed opportunity.

For F&B brands that grow through B2B and hospitality partnerships, coffee shops brewing your syrup, bars mixing your product into cocktails, restaurants featuring you on the menu, "where to find us" isn't just a customer service question. It's one of your best untapped marketing assets. Most brands just aren't treating it that way.

Turning It Into Something Worth Exploring

A few shifts that consistently make this asset work harder:

  • Make it visual and interactive: An actual map beats a list every time. Letting customers browse by neighborhood, filter by business type (cafe, bar, restaurant, ice cream shop), or simply scroll and explore turns a lookup task into genuine discovery.
  • Treat each partner like a mini feature: A name and address is the bare minimum. A photo, a note about what they make with your product, or a quick line about the business adds personality and gives partners a reason to be proud of the placement.
  • Pull it up to the homepage: Don't bury your best partnerships three clicks deep. Surfacing a rotating selection of partner locations on your homepage shows new visitors your product is real and used in the wild.
  • Let it generate content: Once partners know they're featured, most will share it. That's free, authentic UGC that costs you nothing but a little design effort up front.

The Takeaway

If your growth depends on where your product shows up in the world, whether that's a coffee shop menu, a bar's cocktail list, or a bakery's ingredient list, don't bury that story in a dropdown. Every stockist is a partner with their own audience, and a well-designed discovery experience turns your "where to buy" page from a lookup tool into an ongoing source of visibility, credibility, and content for both sides.
